Money is the Root of All Good

You've heard the saying "money is the root of all evil"...the question is: do you believe it?

Many of our beliefs about money stem from phrases/words that surround us from the time we enter into this world. We are very impressionable as children, sponging up everything that we hear and see. Suddenly, by the time we are entering into our adult years, we have formed thought processes or beliefs that we 'think' are true.

One of these phrases is: money is the root of all evil. Let's look at it closely. Yes, there are evil people in this world that will use money to do evil things. This has been going on for a very long time now.

However, there are good people out there that do great things with money, like build hospitals, schools, and shelters; they give to charities and help give to those who can not give to themselves.

So, money is good. Money does good things.

What would you do with money if you had it constantly flowing to you? Be honest. You won't be struck by lightening or smited by God for thinking materialistic thoughts. Would you go on a holiday, buy a car? What? Write it all down.

A Little Fun with Money

I was on the webpage "Wordle". It takes words from your RSS or Atom fed blog or website and constructs it into a word cloud. Alternatively, you can add your own words.
It's kind of fun. Actually, it might be a great addition to a vision board.

Spirituality of Money

Spirituality of Money? Is it for real? Money is money, isn't it? It's an object and has no spiritual value. Or does it?

If we look through the ages at money and its process, we can see that there is a spiritual element to it. Many might not see this as so as we've all been taught that money is the root of all evil.

There are others out there that might say that "there are more important things than money." That may be so, but there are more important things than debt, like having enough to support your family.

Here is an interesting website you might want to check out for more views on money: Spirituality of Money .

Healing your money issues isn't just about seeking out a financial guru or a budget expert; it's about healing what's going on inside. Once healing happens, the new you emerges.

Are You Deserving?

There are many of us out there who feel we are 'undeserving' of receiving abundance. We feel that money is a worthy object and to have that object we have to be really special to receive it.

Kind of like when Arthur pulled the sword from the stone; because he completed this task, he was deemed worthy enough to be King.

This is the same with our finances. At times, it can feel like pulling a sword from a stone and not succeeding. But, then someone else comes along and pulls it out easily.

The fact is, we all are worthy enough to obtain money.

But how? It all begins with what is going on inside of you. Start by writing down your beliefs, feelings and experiences from the moment you could remember them. This could uncover many things that you hadn't thought about in ages.

This may seem a little 'woo-woo' to some of you. Maybe too new agey. But ask yourself this: Are the actions you are currently taking towards becoming financially happy working?

Maybe it's time to try something new.

Once you switch your thinking, you won't be the person trying to pull the sword from the stone--instead you will be like Po in Kung Fu Panda.

In the movie Kung Fu Panda, Po is the accident prone noodle maker's son who is picked as the chosen one. He is deemed 'worthy' by 'chance....or is it? When Po is deemed worthy enough to read the sacred scroll, they discover nothing is written on the reflective, shiny scroll paper when it is unraveled. No one can figure out what the message is....until Po has a confrontation with his father and is enlightened to its meaning.

The meaning behind the shiny, reflective paper was that You are the secret ingredient. You and only you can make yourself worthy and deserving. The special thing is inside of you, not outside of you.

You are the key to how you want your life to unfold.

Begin to heal those past issues and feel worthy again.

Heal Your Finances

Your financial situation is a reflection of the relationship you have with yourself.

Don't believe it?

It's true. The way we feel about money has a correlation to what we are feeling inside. Do you feel deserving enough or worthy enough to receive financial abundance or any abundance for that matter?

If you wonder why you are struggling and others aren't, it usually means they view money differently.

We all grew up with these beliefs that money is evil, that there isn't enough, and that you have to work hard for the money...so hard for it, honey.

The fact is, the only difference between you and the people around who can easily bring money into their lives is their belief system (and few other things too).

I believe we've been scarred from years of being told that money is evil.

That's why I wrote the book Dear Money and created this blog. It's time for us to open up to money and heal those wounds that have been lingering for far too long.
